Welcome to a new year of St Joseph’s Council of Catholic Women!

Grateful Together

Hello Lovely Ladies…. Can you feel the slight and I mean slight change in weather? We are no longer sitting at feels like temps of 115! Fall is trying to come down to the sunshine state.
Here is your monthly update:

A quick meet-up with Father Benjamin resulted in a strong request. He is wanting our ladies to actively participate in the Adult Faith Formation activities which are being held during the week. He is also pushing this focus in Masses, so you will be hearing all about it. My plan is to attend weekly. If you plan to attend these informative talks on our faith, which are meant to create opportunities for deepening our journeys, we can sit together!!
Little Flowers is beginning. I have a fabulous momma who is going to help me with this project. We currently have 7 confirmed participants, and will be looking for about 3 more to fill the program.
I got to attend our first Bunco Fundraiser. It was great to just sit and chat with some wonderful people. I attended the wrap-up meeting and we look forward to running this again in a different time slot.
I have reached out to our potential new members who shared interest in our organization. We have a few ladies who are really looking forward to coming to kick-off in September. Kristen’s membership binder which sits in the Narthex is proving to be a very very good recruitment tool.
Speaking of Recruitment! September 27-28 will be a joint recruitment drive with Knights of Columbus. I would love to have all ladies at the Narthex tables to share the joy and beauty of CCW to our Parishioners. Be watching for a sign up genius to make sure all Masses are covered with your smiling faces!
I am meeting with the office next week to discuss storage solutions. It looks like they are getting everything organized and I am hopeful that in the next few months we will get some secured, on campus, space for all our inventory…. Our CCW has A LOT of wonderful things in different homes. It will be nice to have it all together.
Candle Sales for All Souls will be beginning in October. Be on the lookout for a sign-up genius to sit the tables with our wonderful sisters of Women’s Guild. This is a GREAT fundraiser for our organizations.
Lastly… as the Deanery Spirituality Chair, I am working with a group of ladies to put together a Day of Reflection for our Deanery that centers around the ideas of Gratitude, Hope, and Peace. We have a date of Feb 28th as a day to go deeper in our faith as we face challenges and adversity. We also have a playdate at the Shrine for the deanery ladies on Oct 18th. More information to follow!!
